EnTEC - Digitalisation of Energy Flexibility

This report, which was conducted by the Energy Transition Expertise Centre (EnTEC) on behalf of the European Union, addresses the issue of flexibilities that are of particular importance in an electricity system based on renewable energies. It looks at various flexibility options that can be implemented on the basis of digital solutions. The aim of the study is to determine existing potentials and costs as well as to identify relevant barriers for a fast implementation.

The results have been used to prepare the Digital Energy Action Plan. Further analysis is currently underway and examining the necessary framework conditions for Energy Data Spaces at EU level.
